Sleepy Baby, Newborn Photographer

Baby A finally arrived. At 10 days old, she was such a contented baby to interact with. I spent this afternoon hanging out with the three kids and the wonderful parents. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. Thanks again for trusting me to take your family photographs. I hope you cherish the memories that we captured today.

The older kids were so excited to try this pose. Daddy and I were a little freaked out, but they did great! Baby A loves to have her big brother and sister around.

Baby A was having none of this pose, but I still like this image.

Big sister is totally in love with Baby A. It was really sweet to watch her interact with the baby.

This was the most wakeful she was during the whole photo session.

I love wakeful baby pictures, but this little lady wanted to sleep all afternoon. I had about 10 minutes to get a couple of open eyed shots. What a doll.

Bundle of Joy, Newborn Photographer

There is nothing more special than a brand new baby. This gorgeous baby girl wanted to stay awake for most of her photo session. I much prefer wakeful baby pictures, so I was very happy. It was a pleasure getting to know this wonderful family and the beautiful new addition. H was the most relaxed and social new mommy. Thanks so much for having me into your home to photograph this precious gift.

Mommy has the most beautiful curly black hair. You can already see that baby S is going to have the same curly Q's.

Mommy H has the best pillows in her house. I had so much fun setting this picture up!

Baby S loved to be swaddled. She fell fast asleep the moment I put her in this baby cocoon. More funky pillows!

Waiting for Baby, Maternity Photography

I had the absolute joy of meeting and photographing this family as they anxiously await the birth of their third child, a second son. We had a great afternoon finding ways to capture these anxious and joyful moments just before the birth of a baby.

I have so many favorite images from this photo session so I have to share a few more.

I told S that she looked like a model in this picture....
This little baby was tossing and turning in mommy's belly whenever daddy touched S belly. It was pretty amazing to feel and watch the baby's movement. Already recognizing the touch of mommy and daddy.

Beautiful Mom To Be

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this wonderful family again...for a very special reason. A new baby is on the way and the mommy to be is so beautiful. She and I spent hours just chatting, and posing and photographing and chatting some more. Daddy helped keep the kids entertained in between getting their pictures taken. It was a wonderful afternoon and I can't wait to meet the newest member of this fantastic family.

I love their style, so modern and beautiful. The nursery is so warm and wonderful. The new baby will be so comfy.

This was such a peaceful afternoon. We had so much fun finding wonderful ways to capture the beauty and anticipation of pregnancy.

Unbelievable beauty...

I was so excited to come back up to the nursery at the end of our photo session. We found the light streaming through the window glowing on the crib. Children really are the "light" of our lives. I hope this image speaks to you as much as it does me.

We finished the afternoon by painting mommy's belly. The kids had so much fun picking out what color to paint her belly.

As always, it was such a joy to see you again. I hope to be photographing your family for many years to come. I can't wait to meet the new baby.

My New Website!!!!

After a very successful 2009 for Studio B Photography, I have decided to have a web page designed. I am so excited and I found a wonderful web designer who has been amazing to work with. I will give her a shout out as soon as I get permission. The site is under construction right now and will direct you to this blog until it is complete... but take a peek anyway and look at the cool graphic that the designer chose for the construction phase!

As I mentioned in a previous post, many thanks to my wonderful clients for making 2009 a great year. Self Portrait...sort of...

I love taking pictures…obviously. However, I do not like having MY OWN picture taken. I know I have to get over that because I will regret not having any pictures of myself when I look back in a few years. So, I took a picture of myself…look really closely in the Christmas ornament. Yes, that is me in the reflection. Pretty funny, right!?

Toddlers are the cutest

This little guy was so sweet. He gave us a run for our money in the studio, so we finally took him outside in the snow and managed to get a couple of cute pictures. He is so adorable. M, I hope you enjoy seeing the pictures and I hope you get your cards out in time!

Winter wonderland

I am finally getting around to posting some pictures from last weekend's session. I had fun hanging out with these two kids...we spent a few minutes outside in the snow. Lucky for us, it wasn't too cold. Thanks for a great session. Can't wait to see the Christmas cards.

4 sessions this weekend

It was a crazy weekend for Studio B Photography...I have one more session to edit and post from the weekend but it is 10:45 pm and I can't look at the computer screen anymore without blinking every second! Thanks for waiting on me Ms E. As usual, your little guy was so fun to photograph and it was fun meeting miss M for the first time.
