Anticipation and Joy, Capital District Maternity Photographer

I met this amazing couple early this morning for N's maternity pictures. They were so great to work with and we had fun trying some fun poses. I would like to thank the owners of the beautiful Appel Inn in Altimont, http://www.appelinn.com/, for allowing us to use their property for the pictures. N and J were married at the Appel Inn almost 9 years ago. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a wedding here just a few weeks ago. I was so excited to use their property again!

These soon to be parents are avid athletes. Both compete in marathons and J just finished a triathlon! N thought it would be cute to show off both of their bellies!

N was really excited to try this pose. I think it came out great. I love J's expression.

As we were standing by this wishing well, I couldn't help but think how lucky they are to have each other and now to have this long awaited baby arriving so soon. Their wish came true.
It was wonderful meeting you both. I can't wait for the newest addition to make an appearance!

Three beauties, Newborn Photographer

A few weeks ago I met this family to do T's maternity photos. Last night I met the newest addition. Baby A is beautiful. Big sisters are loving her up and they were big helpers for me last night.

Baby A in the Christening gown that has been in the family for close to 40 years.

This little lady smiled a lot. Of course, I only caught the tail end of one of those smiles.

All three beauties.

Great seeing you again. I will look forward to working with your whole family in the fall! Your girls are beautiful!

Baby Boy J, Destination Newborn Photographer

I met this sweet family a few months ago when I traveled to Rochester to do K's maternity photos. I was happy to come back and meet sweet baby boy, J. Big sister was so sweet. She didn't want to have her photo taken, but we managed to get a couple of cute ones with mommy and her kids.

Big girl A was showing me her room and all of her stuffed animals.
This was the only time baby J was asleep. We had just a few minutes to capture sleepy baby pictures. Oh so sweet.
It was so warm outside. We had an easy time capturing some adorable outdoor shots.

It was great seeing you again during such a special time! I hope you love your images.

Print Products

Foamboard is a great product. I am not sure how popular it is, but it is my favorite way to display photos. I have sold foamboards to several customers who have also been very pleased.

I just had two of my personal images printed and mounted to foamboard. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.

I am ordering a gallery wrap for myself too. I am so excited. Pictures to follow.

Playing with fire...

Not really playing with fire. However, I was playing with a slow shutter speed and a candle.

Notice the "J" and "B" I created by setting a slow shutter speed and spinning my camera? I thought it was pretty cool looking.

More Summer Wedding Photos

As promised, here are a few more photos from last weekend's beautiful wedding.

I love photographing weddings. I especially love photographing the bride while she is getting ready. There is something so special about the anticipation. The room is always full of spirit.

Moments after becoming husband and wife. Love the grins!

The sun was casting such beautiful backlighting in the facility. E's smile glowed as beautifully as the light.
Can you tell that I am a big fan of backlighting? Lovely ladies.

I love capturing moments. Thought this one was kind of fun. I was half tempted to ask for a cigar after I got a whiff!
The lovely lady in the green dress is going to be married in a few days. Wishing you luck and happiness.

Summer Night Wedding, Capital District Wedding Photographer

It is late and I should be sleeping, but I am too excited to get this sneak peek up for this amazing couple. I am just getting back from shooting this phenomenal wedding. I have several people to mention and amazing photos of this beautiful venue to write and post about, but for now, I will post a few of my favorites. Much more to come and I can't wait to show off the beautiful venue photos.

A fun, more modern composition. Love it!
Amazing light! I kept telling E and M how happy I was to be shooting in such gorgeous light!

Father and daughter. What a sweet moment.

I will end with my favorite image. Beautiful light, beautiful bride, what more can you ask for!
Great meeting you and your wonderful families. Keep an eye out for another post with more photos!
